community art lessons

Artists from ArtSprouts recently taught a series of art lessons to community members of all ages. Over 60 kids, teenagers, and adults came together over zoom, and we created beautiful paintings all donated to local senior homes! We hope to bring some beauty into the lives of elderly members of our community who feel alone during these difficult times.

San Francisco Mural project

In May of 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, ArtSprouts and Paint the Void, a non-profit that sponsors artists to paint murals on boarded up storefronts all across the nation, collaborated to help beautify the city of San Francisco.

Cards for retirement homes

In response to the outbreak of COVID-19, many retirement homes are limiting their visitors, forcing society’s most vulnerable people into isolation. But, this does not mean senior citizens have to feel lonely. ArtSprouts is collaborating with Cards of Care to brighten the days of senior citizens through hand-drawn digital cards and hand-written letters. The retirement homes print out the digital media to give to their residents, and their responses are handwritten on paper and emailed back to us.

Digital mural

In light of today’s coronavirus shut downs, many local businesses are struggling to keep their doors open. Art Sprouts has collaborated with Bay Area Enterprises (BAE) to create a digital mural documenting what life in our community has been like during the pandemic. The purpose of this mural is to create a living historical documentation, while fundraising for organizations that help small businesses keep running.
